While home-schooling our own family of 8 over the years we have had opportunities to include others in our family classes. For 10 years before Quo Vadis began Byron taught a variety of history classes which included some of his own children and others while running his own business. In the meantime Ana had taught music and drama of various kinds to those interested. In making a transition out of our business Byron wondered whether it was possible to do the history, literature and Bible teaching he loved and make a living at it. We put together some tentative figures and decided that it might be done and was worth the effort to try. Welcome to the Quo Vadis experiment.

As we approach our second decade we can look with satisfaction at where we have come from and anticipate the future eagerly. We have a long way to go but our goal is to provide the courses we can to serve the home-school community. Each year we have to trust the Lord for his provision and are constantly looking for creative ways to serve home-schoolers or anyone interested in alternative, home-directed education.
