| Summer 2011 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- CHILDREN'S THEATER WORKSHOP: ages 7-12 June 6-18, 1p-3p (every weekday, 2 weeks) Theater games, acting instruction, and a stage performance on the last day (6/18 at 2p; 8/12 at 11a). No auditions or previous experience. Tuition is $95 including materials fee. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- TEEN THEATER CAMP: ages 12-16. June 27 - July 9, 1p-3p (M-F 1st week; Tu-Sat 2nd week, skipping Mon 4th of July) Improve your acting skills, gain confidence, make new friends, and perform on the last day (7/9 at 2p). Great fun! No auditions or previous experience. Tuition is $95 including materials fee. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- DIGITAL PHOTO FUN for Teens & Adults! 8 weeks, Tuesdays from June 7 - July 26, 10a-12n. Learn how to get great pictures and how to get the most from your digital or film camera. Learn to find the Creative Edge; isolate the Big Idea; what makes a professional looking photo; basics of exposure and composition, and much more! Includes classroom as well as field classes and camera time at the Dallas Arboretum. Tuition is $95 including materials fee. Arboretum admission included. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "UNIFYING THE AGES: The Simplified Timeline of World History" 8 weeks, Saturdays from June 11 - July 30, 10a-12n. Confused about what was happening in the world at the time of Abraham? What was going on in Egypt while Saul was king? Who was this Queen of Sheba and what proof is there for the Exodus outside the Bible? This fun class is designed to give Adults a grip on the basic flow of history in simple, memorable terms and tying the ages of history into a comprehensible whole. From Creation to present times, you’ll learn history’s key periods, people, and events. “Unifying the Ages” lays a great foundation for historical study for your personal enrichment or to strengthen your home teaching skills. Tuition is $95 including materials fee. One book required (under $20). -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- CALLING ALL ACTORS – Adults, Teens, and Children wanted for In spite of life-long blindness Fanny Crosby dedicated herself to the Lord’s work and has inspired many generations with her songs, poems, and hymns which include “Blessed Assurance,” “All the Way My Savior Leads Me,” “Tell Me the Story of Jesus,” “To God Be the Glory,” and hundreds more. This summer’s Quo Vadis production welcomes actors of all ages. Fanny Crosby’s story will be portrayed in vignettes of her full life. With audience participation of some of her well-known hymns, this play is sure to bring encouragement and inspiration to its audiences. During the third week of July we will take some of the performances to interested Garland/Mesquite area churches. A brief audition (readings from the script) will be required. No previous experience necessary; no tuition; a $20 materials fee per person. Auditions (choose one): Sat June 5 at 10am; Tue June 8 at 7pm or by appointment before June 10.
